This is your very first post. Click the Edit link to modify or delete it, or start a new post. If you like, use this post to tell readers why you started this blog and what you plan to do with it.
In this tutorial we’ll teach you how to make a copy of your Tumblr blog onto WordPress.com to act as a backup.
The first two steps don’t need to be followed if you already use WordPress.com.
You need a WordPress.com blog, simply follow the steps to select your username and confirm your account via email.
2. Open WordPress Admin
- Click on My Site
- Select the WP Admin you wish to import into
3. Visit the import tools page
In the sidebar menu select ‘tools’ and then ‘import’.
4. Select import from Tumblr
5. Allow Tumblr access
Click the ‘Connect to Tumblr to begin’ button. You may need to log into Tumblr if you haven’t already. Be sure to allow access to WordPress.com
6. Start the import!
Once authenticated you can select your Tumblr blog from the list of your blogs and click on ‘Import this blog’.
And you’re done, WordPress.com takes care of the rest and will create a copy of your posts onto your WordPress.com blog.
Reblogging because, well, we all know what’s happening with Yahoo and how shitty this site can be anyway.
do u ever feel like you’ve accidentally tricked certain people into thinking you are smarter and have more potential than you actually do and do you ever think about how disappointed they’ll be when you inevitably crash and burn
Fun fact: Impostor Syndrome is ridiculously common among high-achievers, particularly women. If you identify with this post, odds are pretty good that you’re exactly as smart as people think you are, and the failure you’re afraid of isn’t inevitable at all.
…I dunno, I think people think way more highly than my reality suggests they should. I’m pretty sure I’m a constant disappointment
This is why I move around so much. I land a job then move on to another one before anybody realizes just how incompetent I actually am.
As someone with anxiety, FUCK YOU for adding this audio bullshit to Tumblr. Ads? Cool, whatever. Blasting audio while I’m listening to other things? Go fuck yourself. You seem to want to consistently do the things people hate. Do you have meetings where you sit around a desk and ask, “What can we do that our users will hate today?” because literally everyone and their grandma hates audio ads.
~ Someone who will not be using Tumblr until there’s an xkit update to fix this bullshit.
Additionally, I cannot even find the goddamn source of the thing to turn it off on my own. What is this fresh bullshit, Tumblr?
While you wait, here’s a temporary fix in Chrome:
As someone with an exaggerated startle response to sudden noises and loud noises, kindly go fuck yourself, Tumblr, and thanks @hauntedfalcon for the info provided above.
My ads are blocked and I ~still~ get the horrible sudden sounds. Thanks @staff.
Y’ALL I HAVE THE THINGY FOR THE BLACKLIST ONLY PUT THIS ON YOUR ADBLOCK BLACKLIST AND IT’LL BE GONE FOREVER
Blocking these worked for me. Reblog to save a life.
Boosting for the blacklisting:
I haven’t gotten any of the sounds but is good to know just in case
I’ve definitely heard the sounds – @i-wanna-be-toms-body-pillow, here’s hopefully a temporary fix. I’ve not tested it to see if it works, though
I jumped out of my fucking skin this morning when it happened to me. It stopped without my having to do anything, but I’ll try this if it happens again. Signal boost that shit.
Dear @staff, this new automatic-ad-with-sound is a truly horrible addition. I now keep my computer on mute because if it. I scroll my dash in the evening and need to keep silent. These ads are really disturbing.
What about the audio in actual posts? That’s been my issue. I want to listen to some of them, but I can’t unmute the tab and only listen to the ones I want because they all play at once!
